About me
I'm passionate about building things since I was born, passionate about computers and programming since the age of 12, and passionate about business and entrepreneurship since my MBA. I taught myself programming when I was 12 by reading some BASIC programming books (even before having my own computer), and never stopped since then, having played and worked with dozens of technologies.
I have more than 20 years of work experience, having played both technical roles and management/executive roles.
I have worked for companies in many different sectors, including Financial Institutions, Healthcare, and Technology Startups.
For the most part of my career I've been working with Microsoft technologies (C# and MS-SQL), but I must confess that I've also worked with Classic ASP, VBA, Visual Basic 6, Java ME, JSP, and even Cobol/DB2.
For as far as I remember (since the BBS era - long before the Internet) I've been working on lots of side-projects in my spare time, both both for fun and for profits.
My favorite technologies include C#, MS-SQL, Entity Framework, Git, ASP.NET (all flavors), AngularJS, jQuery, Bootstrap, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Gulp, NPM, TypeScript, Android, and (more recently) Google's GO (which was used for this blog), .NET Core and Docker.
My interests include Application Lifecycle Management, Reverse Engineering, Artificial Intelligence (and NLP) and Cloud Computing.
I have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from University of São Paulo, and an MBA degree from Fundação Getúlio Vargas, both top-ranked universities in Latam. Born and raised in Brazil, lived in Chile for a while, now living in Florida (Fort Lauderdale Area).
